BRANDS HATCH will host two rounds of the UK’s biggest motor racing series next year, it has been announced.

The famous circuit will hold the opening rounds of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship on April 1, and then a second fixture on August 19.

The BTCC’s race meetings at Brands attract some of the region’s biggest sporting crowds of the year, with free admission to children.

BTCC Series director Alan Gow said: "Brands Hatch remains a very important venue for the BTCC and I’m delighted that once again our championship is to race there twice in 2007.

"The challenging nature of the Brands Hatch circuit and the extremely close racing provided by the BTCC makes for a heady mix of drama and excitement."
