Kent v Sussex

WEST INDIES all-rounder Dwayne Bravo played his final game for Kent at Scarborough on Sunday and leaves Kent will selection headaches ahead of Tuesday’s championship clash with Sussex in Canterbury.

Kent, in need of a decent performance in order to stay out of the relegation battle, have pondered long and hard over who should replace Bravo and have opted to go with Robbie Joseph.

Bravo has teamed up with a West Indies development squad to take on Australia and India, allowing Joseph another first team opportunity despite his failure to impress in his last appearance at Trent Bridge.

To make matters worse, Min Patel is still struggling with back spasms and will be replaced by off-spinner James Tredwell.

There are no such problems for title-chasing Sussex, however, who hope to name an unchanged and full-strength squad with influential leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed fit again after recent neck problems.

Luke Wright will make the trip from Hove as cover, but is likely to be handed the 12th man duties.

The game will start at the earlier time of 10.30am.

Kent from: Key, Fulton, van Jaarsveld, Walker, Stevens, Dexter, Jones, Henderson, Cook, Tredwell, Joseph.

Sussex from: Montgomerie, Hopkinson, Nash, Goodwin, Adams, Prior, Martin-Jenkins, Arafat, Mushtaq, Lewry, Kirtley, Wright.
