Bromley welcome Colchester United to Hayes Lane on Wednesday night fighting fit and raring to go.
As the build-up to the new season continues, manager Mark Goldberg has been buoyed by back-to-back friendly wins (3-2 over Croydon Athletic and 3-0 against Ashford Town (Msx)) and an injury-free squad.
He said: "Our defence showed some naivety in the Croydon game by giving the ball away twice and it ultimately led to two penalties.
"But this is the time to learn those lessons so that when the season comes round, we're much better."
He added: "We are progressing well and beginning to play the pattern of football I want. It is also good to get a run of wins going as it breeds confidence.
"We have had some niggling injuries but they have cleared up and we're all ok. Hopefully that will last into the new season."
The Colchester United friendly kicks off at 7.45pm.
Goldberg said: "It will be a big test for us but one we're looking forward to, as we are the new season. I am excited about it."
Bromley go to Eastbourne Borough on Saturday (August 2) and then finish their pre-season at Dartford (August 5).
The new season starts at home to Maidenhead United on August 9.
