Broomes likely to line up for Wednesday

GILLINGHAM look certain to face former Blackburn defender Marlon Broomes against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday. The 24-year-old centre-back signed for Wednesday last night after spending the last three months on loan with Grimsby.

Broomes replaces the injured Leigh Bromby who is out for two weeks with a hamstring strain. Also doubtful for Wednesday is defender Ashley Westwood who is struggling to recover from a twisted ankle.

Meanwhile, Gillingham supporters will be able to purchase copies of Roger Triggs' new book entitled Gillingham Football Club - The League Years, in the Franklin Rooms before Saturday's match.

Author Roger Triggs will be signing copies of the book which is priced at £17.99.
