Invicta Dynamos' preparations for the coming season suffered a blow when new signings Anthony and John Sarno did a u-turn on their decision to join the club.

Dynamos coach Kevin Parrish received an email from John on Sunday saying he was sorry but the brothers would not be coming to Gillingham because they had found another team in their homeland.

Parrish has moved quickly to try to find replacements and has been emailing prospective players.

He now has at least four players on a hit-list to go for.

Parrish said: "With this shock news it doesn't leave me a lot of time, but I can assure the fans that one or maybe two non British trained players will be on the roster by the end of the week."
