Kent's British number five Naomi Cavaday lost in the second round of the DFS Classic in Birmingham on Wednesday.

Cavaday won the first set against Indian qualifier Sunitha Rao, but ended up being beaten 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.

The Bromley youngster had got off to a good start on the opening day of the tournament by defeating 14th seed Jill Craybas. She overcame the experienced American 6-0, 6-4.
