Kent's Naomi Cavaday has started her comeback from illness with three promising displays in tournaments after a five-month lay-off.

Cavaday played her first tournament in Wrexham, reaching the semi-finals before losing 6-2, 6-0 to Luxembourg's Claudine Schaul.

Cavaday said: "I was nervous as I hadn't played a tournament for so long but I was really happy with my overall performance."

The 19-year-old, who is ranked 285 in the world after her spell on the sidelines, followed that up with a quarter-final spot at Sutton before reaching the semi-finals in Sweden of the Stockholm tournament - losing out to Germany's Tatjana Malek, 6-2, 6-1.
