CHARLTON have sold 20-year-old defender Michael Turner to Coca-Cola League One promotion contenders Brentford for an undisclosed fee.
Turner, who turns 21 next week, had spent the last three months on loan at Griffin Park.
He skippered Charlton's title-winning reserve side last season and is a graduate of the club's academy. He appeared five times as an unused substitute for the Premiership side.
Meanwhile, Charlton have stressed that striker Francis Jeffers has signed a permanent contract with the club and is not on loan from Arsenal, as has been reported in the national press.
"I don't know how these stories get started but there is absolutely no truth it it, despite what may have been reported," said Charlton chief executive Peter Varney.
"Francis Jeffers signed a two-year contract with the club and we announced the fact on the day he joined."
