FORMER Lordswood chairman Dennis Caulfield has been warned as to his future conduct but the case against the club for failing to control spectators has been withdrawn by the Kent County Football Association.
It followed the abandonment of Lordswood’s Kent League home game against Erith & Belvedere on November 17 by referee Andy Carter following allegations of touchline abuse.
Mr Carter has since resigned from Level 3 of KCFA affiliated referees and his failure to attend the hearing left the KCFA with no alternative but to withdraw the case.
Lordwood secretary Steve Lewis said: "This case was blown out of all proportion because what was said on the day was taken out of context. We are pleased to draw a line under the matter, although I regret that Andy has seen fit to resign."
The match will be replayed on Saturday, February 16.
