Kent have been left looking for a new overseas player after Stuart Clark's move to the county was called off.

The Australian pace bowler was due to join Kent for six weeks, but has been called-up to the national one-day squad touring South Africa to replace the injured Brett Geeves.

Kent chief executive Paul Millman said: "Whilst we are delighted for the player, we are obviously very disappointed that Stuart is now unable to join us as planned.

"We will spend the weekend assessing our options and will endeavour to have alternative arrangements in place as soon as possible."
