Clash with Canaries all-ticket

GILLINGHAM’S table-topping match at Norwich on Saturday has been made all-ticket.

Such is the demand in East Anglia to see the game that Norwich expect to announce a 21,468 sell-out after taking back 500 of the 2,079 allocation of tickets sent to Priestfield.

A spokesman for the Norwich ticket office said: “We have been overwhelmed by the demand. Nearly all the tickets have been sold and we expect the match to be sold out later today.

“We have been in touch with Gillingham about the situation and they have sent back part of their allocation which we've sold.”

“Because of the need to keep Norwich informed of the situation and reconcile money with ticket returns, the deadline for purchases must be 3.30pm on Friday," said Gillingham ticket office manager John Ayton.

“I would advise Gills fans wanting to go to the game to get their tickets as soon as possible.”

Gillingham head the Nationwide League, Division 1, with a maximum nine points from three games - two more than second placed Norwich.
