KENT'S finest distance athletes assembled at the County Showground, Detling on Saturday in poor weather conditions.
With last year's silver medallist Jermaine Mays missing from the Senior Men's line-up it left Mike Coleman (Medway and Maidstone AC) as clear favourite to win.
The 28-year-old England international didn't disappoint as he held off the challenge of clubmate Barry Royden to take the title by more than 30 seconds.
Royden finished second ahead of Cambridge Harriers runner Dean Lacy, with Neil Renault (Medway and Maidstone) taking fourth place despite an early fall.
These high finished enabled Medway and Maidstone to take the team title ahead of Tonbridge.
In the Senior Women's event, Medway and Maidstone's Jenni Pereira defended her title superbly finishing more than 50 seconds clear of the field having led from the start.
Clubmates Louise Watson and Kate Buchan took second and third, which also won the team title for Medway and Maidstone.
James Poole (Blackheath and Bromley) won the Junior Men's title, while Briony Proctor took the Junior Women's crown.
