THE annual contest between Kent cricket club representatives and teams from Belgium and France, is to be extended to two days for the first time. The event will take place in Le Touquet on March 12 and 13.
Kent, who took a party of 100 for the 2004 event in February, will be aiming to gain revenge for their defeat by suprise champions France Under-21s.
Fans joining the trip will benefit from a choice of pick up points for the double-decker coach, a packed lunch, an evening reception dinner, and overnight bed and breakfast accommodation.
They will also see the international teams playing for the Kentish Gazette Indoor Cricket Shield, and have time to visit the town, shops and sea front in Le Touquet.
Organiser John Bray, from Folkestone, says: “The Le Touquet authorities were so thrilled with our last visit that they are arranging a special ‘cricket weekend.’”
Money raised from the event will be donated to the Kent County Cricket Benevolent Fund and the Kent Youth Trust.
