Gillingham suffered a second defeat in five days as they fell to a resurgent Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park last night.

Gillingham were in trouble as early as the third minute when Clinton Morrison scored the first of his two goals with the defence in disarray.

Iffy Onuora levelled in the 29th minute with his seventh goal of the season as Gillingham fought back strongly.

Marlon King was out of luck with a shot that struck the bar. But in the second half Gillingham lost momentum to left Palace back into the game.

Morrison scrambled a soft goal in the 66th minute before Dougie Freedman scored the goal of the game in the 88th minute.
