DEPARTING Charlton manager Alan Curbishley has urged the club to make a quick appointment in the search for his successor.
The deadline for applications closed on Wednesday and Curbishley said: "It’s vital the club press on and find someone as soon as possible.
"I don’t know who is coming in but if it was me I would be looking at a couple of tapes to form an opinion of the players so you could see what needs strengthening."
He added: "I’ve not had a break for a long time. I don’t know whether I will be a manager at the start of next season. I really don’t know what’s going to happen."
