HE MAY have left the club at the end of last season, but Alan Curbishley's 15 years of service at The Valley will see him immortalised in bronze.

It has been announced that a bust of the legendary former Charlton chief has been commissioned and local sculptor Anthony Hawken, who produced the sparkling Sam Bartram statue, will take control.

When finished the bust will sit outside the Chairman's Suite and plc chairman Richard Murray said: "This is a particularly fitting way to recognise Alan's achievements, in particular special moments like the 1998 play-off final, the Division One championship success and our establishment as a Premier League football club."
