CHARLTON boss Alan Curbishley has disclosed that the League Managers' Association wants no more rocking of the boat as England prepare for the World Cup finals in the summer.
Curbishley has been touted as one of the early front-runners to replace Sven-Goran Eriksson after it was revealed that the Swede would be leaving his post at the end of the tournament in Germany.
But he attempted to distance himself from the speculation and insisted everyone should concentrate on giving the England squad the best chance of success.
He said: "The Association is adamant in its belief that this England squad has one of the best chances we've had of winning the World Cup.
"There is a lot in our favour. Apart from the players, there is the climate and the month's break they are going to get. So what has been going on during these past few weeks is not helping our cause.
"So far as the speculation over Sven's successor is concerned, there is no vacancy. So I think that rather than undermine our prospects, let's all start supporting England.
"The League Managers' Association are unanimous in wanting to get behind the England team."
