Young midfielder Bradley Dack is confident that Gillingham’s goals will come.
The Gills have played two games and have yet to score but Dack – who hit 26 goals from midfield for the youth team last season – isn’t concerned.
“It is a fine line,” said the 19-year-old. “We are creating chances and it will come.
“There are goals in the team, everywhere, from Cody and Keds to Bayo, German and in midfield with Whelps and myself. We are creating chances but it’s just about putting the ball in the goal.
“It was a weird game (on Tuesday) and I thought we played well, in parts.
“Bristol City are decent at keeping the ball but we pressed them well and created more chances than them. The ball just didn’t go in the goal.”
