Medway boxer Harry Dhami has set a date to fight Jimmy Vincent in a British welterweight title final eliminator.
The former champion will fight Vincent in a 12-round contest in Glasgow on April 19.
Whoever wins the bout will go on to challenge reigning champion David Barnes.
Dhami, who lives in Walderslade, near Chatham, said: "My ultimate goal is to regain the title I lost in 2002 and this fight against Vincent is a step towards that goal.
"It will be the classic contest of a boxer against a fighter and I'm confident my skills will see me through. I'm in great shape at the moment and I know I've got what it takes to win."
Dhami is training with Alex Gowers after parting company with his former trainer Brian Hill.
