Kent v Worcestershire

KENT skipper Rob Key hit a lively half-century and went into lunch unbeaten on 61 as the hosts posted 124 for one after the first session of this rain ruined, one-innings match.

Key and Joe Denly posted 60 for the first wicket having lost the toss, but Denly, when on 28, edged a push drive off Nadeem Malik low to third slip where Daryl Mitchell claimed a good catch.

Kent suffered no further alarms through to the break as Key hit four fours in his 69-ball half-century - which also included three threes, a sure sign that the rain-soaked outfield is still painfully slow.

Score: Kent 124 for one after 30 overs.
