Montell Douglas progressed to the next round of the women's 100m at the Bird's Nest Stadium in Beijing today.

GB record holder Montell Douglas looked impressive in powering to second place in her heat in 11.36.

“I didn’t look around,” said the Blackheath & Bromley sprinter referring to the stadium.

“I didn’t want to take it all in – in the past I have. I’m glad the first round is done.”
