Gillingham 1 Bradford City 0
Patrick Agyemang was the Gillingham star as the young striker netted the only goal on his home debut on Saturday afternoon.
With the wind and rain coming down, flowing football was rarely seen although Agyemang made up for this with a superb display of quick running.
The 23-year-old could have netted a hat-trick but had to settle for a single strike as he showed a great burst of pace to outstrip the away defence to score after 16 minutes.
Although Bradford have improved marginally since Bryan Robson took over as manager, the visitors rarely looked likely to get anything out of the game.
This was particularly the case after goalkeeper Alan Combe got himself sent off on the stroke of half time for barging into the referee.
The result moves Gillingham a little closer to safety.
