TWO goals in the last six minutes gave the Invicta Dynamos a battling 4-2 win over league leaders Bracknell Hornets.
In a tightly contested first period the Mos went ahead on 13.22 when Ken Forshee forced the puck home at the second attempt after Andy Smith's shot had been saved.
Smith then scored a beautifully taken goal on 16.56 to double the lead, beating two defencemen before firing an unstoppable shot into the net.
But the Hornets, who had won nine of their 11 English National Ice Hockey League (South B) fixtures coming into Sunday's clash, hit back in the second period with strikes from one-time Mos' target Craig Tribe (25.42) and Chris Beauclark (31.21).
Netminder Ian Rowlands was in inspired form as the Hornets pressed well into the third period.
The Mos had to kill one powerplay after another, but once they had a full five skaters back on the ice they killed off the tiring Hornets with goals from Joe Allen (54.34) and Andy Smith (57.26).
The win was Invicta's eighth in the league, and preserves their 100 per cent record.
