INVICTA Dynamos put themselves one win away from the English National League South title with a 5-3 victory over Romford Spitfires on Sunday.
Despite going a goal down at 1.17, markers from Alex Shaw and Andy Smith put the Mos in control at the end of the first period.
Two further strikes by Smith extended the home side's lead in the second and, although Romford pulled two quick goals back at the start of the third, Smith added his fourth of the game at 50.13 to secure the vital two points.
Dynamos were indebted to Smith over the weekend, as the forward scored four on Saturday as well, as Dynamos came from behind to win 5-3 at Lee Valley.
After a scrappy first period, Lee Valley Lions scored twice after the restart. Smith grabbed one back, but the home side still led going into the third.
The Lions held out for five minutes of the third until Smith equalised. Elliot Andrews and Smith (2) completed the fight back.
