THE Gillingham-based Invicta Dynamos ice hockey team started the English National Hockey League South season with a convincing 11-2 home victory over Bracknell Hornets.
Ten different players got their names on the scoresheet for Dynamos on Sunday, with forward Paul Hume the only home player to net a double.
Coach Phil Chard admitted: "We played as a team. There are plenty of things we need to work on but I was very happy with our first game.
"We led 4-0 after the first period and although they cut the deficit to 5-2 at the end of the second we dominated the final period.
"I have high expectations for the season because I think we can win the League and the play-offs. This win has enhanced those expectations."
