Dynamos swoop for Slovak forward

Invicta Dynamos coach Kevin Parrish has finally completed his roster for the forthcoming season following the capture of free agent Slovak forward Martin Melichercik.

The 23-year-old will take to the ice with his new team-mates at training on Sunday and although Parrish admits the move is a gamble, he can’t wait to see his new import in action.

“Martin comes to us with a great background,” he said. “We had to decide between him and a guy that played in the EPL last year.

"It is a bit of a gamble and Martin’s English isn’t great but in my many conversations with Milan (Kostolny) over the last few weeks, I’ve managed to get a decent picture of the type of player we’ll be getting.

"At the moment, I have him down to anchor the second line between Phil Manny and AJ Smith."
