GILLINGHAM defender Brent Sancho played 90 minutes as Trinidad and Tobago almost pulled off one of the shocks of the World Cup against England on Thursday.
Sancho's side held their own against the tournament second favourites until giant striker Peter Crouch rose above the Gills centre back to power home a header in the 83rd minute.
Steven Gerrard then rubbed salt into the wounds with a scorcher in stoppage time to add gloss to England's victory.
Trinidad and Tobago can still progress to the second round, but they must beat Paraguay, who are now definitely out of the tournament, and hope England defeat Sweden in their final group match.
Then it will come down to goal difference.
