FORMER Gillingham midfielder Marcus Browning was sent off for the second time this season last night when he was dismissed for violent conduct playing for Bournemouth against Bristol City in an LDV Vans Trophy, southern section semi-final.

City's Tony Butler, another ex-Gill, was also ordered off in the 3-1 win for City.

Meanwhile, Gillingham tuned up for Saturday’s tie by beating Farnborough, another of the fourth round’s potential giant-killers, 3-1 in a La Manga friendly yesterday.

Farnborough, of the Nationwide Conference, play Arsenal on Saturday at Highbury.
