Ex-player Ledgister sends Fleet packing

Woking 1 Ebbsfleet 0

Former Stonebridge Road player Joel Ledgister returned to haunt Ebbsfleet as he got the only goal of the game to give Woking all three points in Blue Square Premier on Saturday.

The winner came 20 minutes from time when Ledgister got on the end of Wilfried Domoraud's right-wing cross and slid the ball under the advancing Lance Cronin.

Fleet offered little in attack and didn't get going at all until after Ledgister's goal.

Stacy Long shot over in the first half after a fine move involving Matt Judge and Jamie Hand.

In the second half, substitute Ricky Shakes fired a presentable opportunity over the cross bar before Hand's free-kick whistled just off target.

Fleet: Cronin, Stone, Crooks, Smith, Duncan, Long, Barrett (Ibe 82), Hand, Purcell (Shakes 46), Gash, Judge. Subs not used: Pooley, Ricketts, Mott.

Attendance: 1,471.
