THE Football Association has rejected Charlton's appeal against defender Osei Sankofa's sending off against Arsenal.

The 21-year-old was given his marching orders for a tug on Robin Van Persie and will now miss the club's next two matches against Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough.

The Addicks argued that Sankofa wasn't the last man and that the Gunners forward should have been penalised for being in an offside position but the FA dismissed the claim.
