Charlton's long-standing reputation as a family club has been officially recognised by the Football League who have bestowed their Family Excellence Award on the Addicks.
The club are one of 32 to attain the new standard which is presented in recognition of the service provided for families and young fans.
It is the second time in two years that Charlton's marketing strategy, aimed at young fans and families, has been praised. Last year the Premier League made a similar presentation to the club.
Unknown to all clubs, family groups attended matches at each club and assessed the family experience.
Charlton chief executive Peter Varney said: "We are delighted to have received the award because we are proud of our reputation as a family, community based club.
"Everyone will be aware of the great ticket prices we have offered young fans and families in recent years with Under-11 season tickets for under £100.
"To get an award based on assessments by mystery shoppers is testament to the entire matchday experience that The Valley offers."
