TRAINING is being offered to anyone interested in becoming a race marshal for events run by the South East Motor Sports Enthusiasts Club.

Chief marshal Adrian Dawkins said: "I think people get a distorted view of marshalling from the television.

"The major events bring people from all over the country and a wall of orange at each post must make viewers think they will have to wait years to have a go.

"However, at clubmans’ level there is a real shortage of marshals, and we would invited people to come and try an exciting, team-based pastime."
