KENT face a tough task at The Oval on Wednesday against Surrey in a crucial top versus near-bottom county championship match.
Without a win from the previous seven four-day games, Kent include rookie left-arm spinner Rob Ferley and Peter Trego in their 14-man squad.
They will be hoping for an improved performance from their new firebrand Pakistan pace bowler Mohammad Sami who should find the notoriously quick Kennington tracks more to his liking.
Sami took two for 150 in a disappointing championship debut against Essex earlier this week and will hope for more pace and bounce against Surrey’s star-studded batting line-up.
