KENT'S cricketers are preparing for the new campaign at a pre-season camp in sunny Spain.

The squad of 15-players together with coach Simon Willis, physiotherapist Nimmo Reid and fitness instructor Glen Ewan flew out to warmer climes to spend time at a facility in La Manga.

The home of the European Cricket Academy, it boasts a four-lane net facility, two centre pitches and an area the size of 10 football pitches on which to practise fielding and catching skills.

Willis said: "Last year we spent a lot of time talking over team values, but this time around we are honing our skills, particularly with a view to getting our one-day performances up to scratch."
