Crewe v Ebbsfleet
Ebbsfleet boss Liam Daish has talked up his team’s chances of success ahead of their FA Cup first round clash against Crewe at Gresty Road on Saturday.
The Fleet reached the first round for the first time since 2003 after beating Woking 1-0 in a fourth qualifying round replay last Tuesday.
Daish said: "We’re away to a League club who are struggling in their own league. If we put in a good performance I think we’ve got a chance. Any sort of result would be good."
"It’s been a long time since the club reached the first round and now we have got there I think people have been a bit blasé about it. I don’t feel that way and I don’t think the players do, either."
Ebbsfleet go into the game on the back of a poor run which has seen them lose five consecutive league matches.
Last Saturday’s 3-1 defeat against Burton saw them slip to 17th in the Blue Square Premier.
Daish added: "I am concerned. If you look at the form table we are third or fourth from bottom. Everyone should be concerned, including the players.
"If you analyse it we’re having a bad run, but at this stage of the season we can get it back. There are still a lot of points to be played for and a lot of games to be played."
Striker Luke Moore (shin) is expected to be available for selection.
