Fleet's losing run continues

Kettering 2 Ebbsfleet 1

Ebbsfleet suffered a fourth straight defeat as they surrendered a lead at Rockingham Road on Saturday.

Fleet were in front as early as the sixth minute when Giuseppe Sole followed up to net after Derek Duncan's effort had come back off the crossbar.

But Liam Daish's side were pegged back on 21 minutes when the defence was caught out by a long ball forward to Jean-Paul Marna and he found Ben Wright to score easily beyond Lance Cronin.

And the winner came 10 minutes into the second half when the usually reliable Darius Charles was beaten to the ball by Wright and he then chipped Cronin expertly from outside the box.

Leon Crooks that was saved by Lee Harper and substitute Luke Moore was also denied by the Kettering keeper but in truth the Fleet struggled to create chances in the closing stages.

Fleet: Cronin, Stevens, Crooks, Charles, Opinel (Smith 62), Sole (Shakes 79), Martin, Long, Duncan, Gash, Cumbers (Moore 53). Subs: Mott, Shakes, Moore, Smith, Yussuff.

Attendance: 1,533.
