VANISHA PATEL, the Charlton under-16s ladies captain, has been nominated for Junior Sports Personality of the Year in the forthcoming British Asian Sports awards.

The 15-year-old from Chatham is the youngest member of the team and only made her debut for the Addicks in September.

Vanisha will discover her fate at the awards ceremony being held at the Park Lane Hilton in London on February 16.
