EX-GILLS defender Chris Hope insists he won’t be rushed into making a decision about his immediate future.

Former captain Hope, who was released by the club at the end of last season, has been tipped for a return to his native North East with Darlington but is keeping his options open.

The 33-year-old said: "My next step is important. Some managers will try and push it and be keen but I’ve got to make sure it’s right for me and my family."
