Fulton: killer instinct needed now

DAVID FULTON: "Every game is there to be won..."

KENT skipper David Fulton has demanded a stronger showing and a killer instinct from his seamers for the remainder of the season, starting on Wednesday when they face another crucial four-day clash with division one basement side Nottinghamshire.

"We mustn’t go to Trent Bridge with any sort of complacency," stressed Fulton. "We are taking the same 11 from Lord’s and taking James Tredwell along to give us another spin option.

"We’ve also got hold of some videos of their Aussie leg-spinner Stuart MacGill, because he wasn’t with them when we defeated them at Maidstone, and will be doing our homework ahead of the match.

"If we can negate MacGill, then you take the potency from their attack, so yes, we’ll be confident, but we won’t be complacent.

"Every game is there to be won and if we can finish this season incredibly strongly then we may well be in good shape to maybe win the championship next year."
