Fulton's hopes of touring India dashed

KENT'S opening batsman David Fulton won't be taking part in England's tour to India next month. He had been on stand-by as a possible replacement had fellow opener Marcus Trescothick decided against the trip, but he has agreed to travel.

Ashley Giles and Craig White have also decided to join the 11 players who agreed to the tour on Friday. But Andrew Caddick and Robert Croft have ruled themselves out of the England party.

Trescothick, Croft, White, Giles and Caddick had all expressed their concern at India's close proximity to Afghanistan and had asked for more time to make a decision.
