Gillingham 0 - Watford 0

TEN-man Gillingham held on for a well-earned point after Iffy Onuora was shown a straight red for kicking out at Paul Robinson. The Watford player was guilty of a crunching two-footed challenge but Onuora will be disappointed at the way he retaliated.

Before the sending off a lively Gills side were creating chances and easily dealing with the poor excuse for a Hornet's forward line. But after the break it was all Watford with Paolo Vernazza, Stephen Glass, Heidar Helguson and Nordin Wooter all going close.

Helguson had a penalty appeal turned down in the 75th minute and with seven minutes to go Glass hit the woodwork.

But the Gills with gritty determination got the point which drags them out of the relegation zone.
