GILLINGHAM grabbed their first home win of the season after a thrilling topsy-turvy clash with Millwall at Priestfield.
The visitors started the strongest and took the lead after 11 minutes when Paul Ifill found the far corner of the net following a quick break.
Gillingham levelled the scores just before the half hour mark when Mamady Sidibe met Marlon King's cross with a diving header.
Andy Hessenthaler's side made it 2-1 in first half stoppage time when Paul Shaw scored following a direct run through the centre by Danny Spiller.
The game swung back in favour of Millwall in an eight-minute spell mid-way through the second period when Bob Peeters scored twice.
On 62 minutes, the big centre forward showed good feet to smash a left foot shot past the despairing dive of Vince Bartram and the same player made it 3-2 when he turned in Ifill's inviting cross on 70 minutes.
However, the hosts were determined to get something out of the game and they equalised eight minutes from time through King's delicate chip.
But there was still enough time for a winning goal and it came to Gills substitute Nayron Nosworthy who latched on to a deflected King pass to beat the Millwall keeper and claim the three points.
