Tranmere Rovers v Gillingham

GILLINGHAM are short on defensive numbers as they go in search of their first away win of the season at Tranmere on Saturday.

Skipper Chris Hope and central defensive partner Ian Cox will definitely miss the game through injury as Neale Cooper's side look to build on the midweek win over Premiership Portsmouth in the Carling Cup.

A scan on the hand injury picked up by Brent Sancho on Tuesday has revealed no break and he is likely to line up alongside Leon Johnson in a makeshift centre back pairing.

Richard Rose could revert to the right-back slot and Tom Williams, who made a shock debut against Pompey, is set for his first start at left-back.
