Gillingham's star man for September - vote now

It’s time for you to vote for Gillingham’s player of the month for September.

We’ve picked out the players who have impressed the most during the last four games and it’s now up to you to decide who wins.

Last month’s winner was Curtis Weston but a new face will be winning this month’s bottle of champagne.

It's been a difficult month for the Gillingham team, who started and ended the month with home wins, but slipped up badly at Shrewsbury. Let us know who you think came out with the most credit.

Charlie Daniels

After a quiet introduction the young midfielder made a stunning impact in the 3-0 win over Grimsby with a stunning free-kick that wouldn’t look out of place in the Premiership. Daniels’ delivery into the box and his presence on the left have been a vital addition to the Gillingham team.

Barry Fuller

Fuller has been a vital member of the Gillingham defence all season and he continues to grow in confidence. He played every game in September and on Saturday he showed his pure determination and never-say-die attitude as Gillingham ground out another home win.

Simeon Jackson

The striker is currently the leading scorer for the Gills with three and two of those came during the month of September. All he needs is a regular striker partner after losing the services of Mark McCammon recently to suspension and Gary Mulligan to injury.

Simon King

King took on the captain’s arm band for the trips to Aldershot and Shrewsbury. He continues to look assured and comfortable at the back and he is always willing to make blocks and tackles whatever and he isn’t afraid to get hurt in the process.

Garry Richards

Playing alongside King this season is Richards and the young defender is growing game by game into a mature and solid defender. He has barely put a foot wrong this month and his brief absence at Shrewsbury, when he went off for stitches to a head wound, were costly as the Gills conceded twice.

Simon Royce

He may have conceded nine goals this month but to many Gills fans it would have been a lot more without Royce between the sticks. He helped the side to clean sheets and victories against Grimsby and Port Vale and put in a brave display against Aldershot.
