Gillingham manager Mark Stimson has called on his players to cement their position in the League 2 play-offs ahead of Saturday's clash at Chester.
Stimson said: “We want to go to Chester and then Notts County on Tuesday night and pick up some points. We set ourselves a little tally a couple of weeks ago from five games and the fifth one is tomorrow (Saturday).
“We’re bang on the target from a coaching staff’s point of view and now it is up to the players to see if they can match their own.
“We’re still on a good run. One defeat in four is a good stat and if we can match that up for the next batch of four games, we’ll be delighted.”
Stimson’s side currently occupy the final play-off spot and remain just three points off the third automatic promotion place.
He added: “We have just got to maintain and make sure that, with 10 games to go, we are in a position like we are now, if not better. If we are then it will set up the last 10 games nicely."
Chester’s last win came against Accrington in December but Stimson is expecting a tough game.
He added: “They might not have won in five, but whenever you go to Chester, if you are not ready for the physical side of the game you can get undone.
“We’re going to go there as if we’re playing Aston Villa. If we approach it that way and perform like we did against them, then we’ll get something out of the game.”
