GILLINGHAM have settled their differences with Stevenage over the appointments of manager Mark Stimson and assistant boss Scott Barrett.

The terms of the settlement will remain confidential, but Gillingham chairman Paul Scally and his Stevenage counterpart Phil Wallace have reached an amicable settlement.

The deal also will involve a pre-season friendly between the two sides in the future.

Mr Scally told the club's website: "I'm delighted things have been resolved. Mark and Scott have both come into the club and instantly shown their qualities.

"I'm very happy with the overall conclusion. Things were discussed in a good manner and I'm happy that all has been settled.

"The club can now really push forward with an excellent manager at the helm."
