Gills assistant hungry for the battle

GILLINGHAM’S new assistant manager Ronnie Jepson is looking forward to the challenge of helping the club avoid relegation this season.

Jepson has been brought in by new boss Stan Ternent, who was unveiled at a press conference at the Priestfield on Tuesday morning.

He played under Ternent at Bury and Burnley. He has been scouting for Leeds United for the last few months, but the opportunity to join his old boss at Gillingham was too good to refuse.
