Gillingham will find out their FA Cup first round opponents tonight.
The Gills have been drawn at home to either Barrow or Brackley Town.
Saturday’s game at Brackley ended goalless and the two Skrill North teams go again tonight in Barrow.
The Gills will be waiting on the outcome of that match before doing their homework.
“We are deliberately not going to the game because we will wait and see who the winners are,” said interim boss Peter Taylor.
“We will then go and get whoever the winners are covered on Saturday and Tuesday, if it’s Brackley, because they have a midweek game.
“A home draw is good for us, it is as good as you can get but we all know what the FA Cup is about.
“Yes, of course we know we will start as favourites but you have to start right and you have to score a goal, otherwise it turns out to be a nervous afternoon.”
Brackley, whose team include former Gills striker Gary Mulligan, are having the better of it in Skrill North this season, with just one defeat all season.
But Barrow, sitting 17th in the league table, have home advantage in the replay.
“They will both look forward to coming to this stadium and enjoying their day because there is nothing for them to lose,” said Taylor.
“We have all done that one before and it will be a great day out and sometimes those days out can be successful.
“We will concentrate on that game after Carlisle (on Saturday).”
