GILLINGHAM ended their short break in France with a 2-1 defeat to the United Arab Emirates but Ronnie Jepson was pleased with the trip.

He said: "I worked the players extremely hard but they responded well.

"Now hopefully they can move on and get a little more sharpness and start doing a bit more with the ball."

Around 300 Gills supporters watched their team in Le Touquet.
