Gillingham manager Mark Stimson will use Wednesday evening's reserve game at Brighton to run the rule over four trialists.
Stimson, who has been given the all-clear by chairman Paul Scally to bring players in during the January transfer window, has again gone for a mixture of youth and experience.
Sagi Burton, 31, is a well-travelled defender who was released by Rushden in November having played 11 games for the Blue Square Premier outfit. Burton, who has also played for Crystal Palace, Port Vale and Peterborough, spent last season with Barnet.
Stephen O'Donnell is a 23-year-old midfielder who has been with Falkirk and Bohemians while 21-year-old Ryan Hall started his career at Crystal Palace but has recently been earning rave reviews for Bromley in Blue Square South.
The final trialist on show will be Arsenal's 18-year-old Luton-born left-back Rene Steer.
Stimson will also include Garry Richards, Alan Julian and Andy Pugh in his line-up for the game at Lewes' Dripping Pan ground while Luis Cumbers is expected to continue his return to full fitness following his broken leg.
